Joe Lynn Turner

Rainbow / Deep Purple frontman. Barry toured behind Turner's solo album Rescue You in the mid-'80s and appears in the 1986 film Blue de Ville; the Boston 1985 live set was released decades later.

Yngwie Malmsteen

Swedish neoclassical metal virtuoso. Barry joined in 1988 and recorded across four world tours; drummer Anders Johansson has credited him with helping translate Malmsteen's classical instincts into a working rock-band sound. Facing the Animal and Alchemy were certified gold in Japan.
